Screen Time Crisis
54% of parents feel their child is addicted to screens
Children ages 8-12 spend 5+ hours daily on screens – nearly triple expert recommendations (CHOC study) with 54% of parents reporting addiction-like behaviors (Lurie Children’s 2025)
- Young children attribute human qualities to smart speakers and may trust what AI says over adults (Education Week)
- Children 5+ tend to prefer tech over humans for information, risking over-trust in AI for advice (Everyone.ai)
